WHISTLE Screens at Sydney Film Festival 2026

I was thrilled to attend the Sydney Film Festival screening of WHISTLE at the Sydney Opera House following the film's world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

Directed by Christopher Nelius, WHISTLE tells the remarkable story of the World Whistling Championships and the unique community that has grown around this extraordinary tradition.

It was wonderful to experience the film with a live audience and celebrate the work alongside the filmmakers, cast and crew.

I'm proud to have composed the original score for the film. At the totally sold out Australian Premiere at The Sydney Opera House there was so much laughter and tears from the viewing audience. ‘Twas pure raw emotion en masse.

Seeing the film like this with a festival audience is a shared and joyful communal experience that cannot be replicated in any other way. This is still the gift of the cinematic experience!
